Book before- or after-school care. This is usually run within the school or close by.
If you haven’t already bought school shoes and trainers, now’s a good time.
Persuade your little treasure to model their new uniform, maybe even wear it for the day, to check it’s comfortable and still fits properly.
Talk about your memories of school – in a positive light!
Invest in a lunchbox, bag and drink bottle and make sure everything is marked with your child’s name.
For older children, you might wish to set them a few maths questions or test their spelling knowledge to get those brain cells whirring back into gear!
