Our Local Community Support Program

Coles aims to assist the development and wellbeing of the local communities in which we operate and through our Local Community Support Program we are able to give back to the communities that support us each day.

Our program aims to help our communities by providing assistance for local events, fundraisers and causes.

If you are seeking assistance for a community event or program or fundraising for a cause, you may wish to ask your local Store Manager if they can help by providing a gift card donation. Our gift cards can be used in Coles stores nationally to help you purchase items needed for your activity or to use as a great prize.

Requests can be made in writing, using the Coles application form which you can hand into your local store.

There are many wonderful activities taking place in our local communities and we are happy to help out where we can. Coles supports community groups such as:

• Schools and kindergartens
• Hospitals
• Sports clubs
• Guides and scouts groups
• Community and church groups
• Welfare groups
• Fairs, events and shows
• Aged care
• Community emergency organisations eg CFA, SES etc

To help us support causes and activities important to our communities and customers, we would prefer not to support the following:

• Individuals
• Fundraising for overseas appeals, charities and travel
• Medical, university and general research projects
• Advertising
• Building projects and capital fundraising
• Travel and study expenses
• Conferences and seminars
• Events that offend common decency standards
• Donation of goods or product

Alternatively, Coles 'Not For Profit' Gift Cards are available to registered charities and not for profit organisations for purchase from Coles Group Corporate Services. For details, contact Coles Group Corporate Services on 1300 725 159.

Over the last year, our Coles customers and team members raised over $2 million through in-store fundraising. We would like to thank everyone who contributed to reach this fantastic milestone. Together, we have assisted many charities and hospitals to improve facilities, conduct research and help those in need.
