Marketing

  • Coles Marketing Department manages the company's image and brands, both inside and outside the store. The department manages all communication to consumers and incorporates the following areas:

    • Advertising
    • Direct Marketing
    • Donations and Sponsorship
    • Marketing Projects
    • Micro Marketing
    • Media Strategy
    • Online
    • Public Relations
    • Point of Sale
    • Sales Promotions
  • The Marketing Department develops, manages and implements all of the Coles programs that communicate:

    • Seasonal Events
    • Major sale Activities
    • Local & Regional Area Marketing
    • Direct marketing
    • Weekly Communication
  • Media strategy is also determined by Marketing and production of all print media communication is managed by the internal advertising department.

  • Coles' weekly catalogue communication reaches over 4 million households.

  • Marketing works closely with the merchandise and promotions areas to assess which products should be featured in catalogues, advertising and point of sale.

  • Marketing initiatives are supported by promotions, public relations and internal communications to create an integrated campaign.

  • The Public Relations department develops and implements promotional, publicity and media activities to promote Coles.

  • They also handle the company's philanthropic and sponsorship programs including fundraising for charities.
