Pumpkin Loaf - Coles Baby Club
Ingredients
InstructionsSift flour, milk powder and salt into a large bowl and rub in the butter with your fingertips. Dissolve yeast in half the warm water. Make a well in the centre of dry ingredients then add the yeast mixture and puréed pumpkin. Mix to form dough, adding the extra water as required. Turn the dough out onto a floured board and knead until smooth. Place in a lightly oiled bowl, then cover and allow to stand in a warm place for 30 minutes until the dough has doubled in bulk. Turn the dough out onto a floured board and knead gently to release some of the air. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 200°C and lightly oil a 30cm loaf tin. Knead dough for a few minutes and put it in the loaf tin. Leave it to stand in a warm place for 30 minutes. Brush the top of the loaf with egg yolk and bake for 15 minutes. Reduce the heat to 180°C and bake for a further 20 minutes. Allow to stand in tin for five minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Toddler TaskHelp rub in butter and knead dough. |
