Ingredients

1 piece pumpkin or potato

Instructions

Wash and peel carefully. Cut into pieces. Microwave or steam until soft. Fork mash, adding cooled boiled water or formula until you get the right consistency.

At first, most babies refuse any food which may have the slightest hint of a lump. The high water content in potato and pumpkin means you can get a perfect purée by just continuing to mash with a fork. Babies do not like the ‘claggy’ feel of potato that is too thick, so thin down to a sloppy consistency at first
