More than 85% of Coles products are Australian Made.

Can I request specific products to be stocked at my local store?
Yes, just ask your local Store Manager. If the product is readily available in the market place it will be sourced and stocked.

What do I do if I have a faulty/out of date/spoiled product?
Return the product to your local store or contact Customer Relations.

What do I do with a product that has been recalled?
Return the product to your local store.

Food Safety

How can I be sure the product I buy hasn't been tampered with?
Never buy a product with damaged packaging. Coles has very high levels of quality control at store level to protect customers from purchasing damaged products.

How can I be sure of food safety in stores?
All staff must complete a food handling and hygiene course before beginning work with Coles. Regular and thorough cleaning, and the freshest food means customers can be assured food safety is given top priority at Coles.

Services

What facilities are available for young children?
Coles has trolleys with baby capsules and trolleys for three children. These trolleys are available at selected Coles stores. If you believe it would be beneficial at your local Coles store please put in a request with your Coles Store Manager.

What facilities do you have for elderly and disabled people?
Electronic trolleys (mart carts), wheelchair access, wider aisles, home deliveries and carry to car are available in many Coles stores. Enquire at your local store to determine services provided.

FlyBuys

Have the points required to achieve a reward changed?
No. FlyBuys awards will remain at their current point levels.

I have been a member of FlyBuys for some time now and never earned enough points to redeem anything, why should I continue to use my FlyBuys card?
Because now you will earn double the standard points when you use your FlyBuys card.

Will I have to now pay a fee?
No. FlyBuys remains a free loyalty program.

How do I find out about how many FlyBuys points I have?
FlyBuys members receive Points Summaries throughout the year. You can also get your points balance in real time by visiting www.flybuys.com.au or by calling the FlyBuys Service Centre on 13 1116*

What can I do with my points?
We have over 1000 award options for you to choose from, including flights, accommodation, store vouchers through to the latest in home electrical, or you can use your points towards a credit on your linked National Credit Card. Do my FlyBuys points expire?
Yes. Each FlyBuys point has a life of three years from the month you collected it. Please refer to FlyBuys program Terms and Conditions brochure ‘Count on this for everything you need to know’ for details.

How many FlyBuys cards can I have in my household?
Each membership consists of the primary cardholder (the person who filled out the application form) and up to three additional supplementary cardholders that reside within the same household.

How can I order a supplementary card or replace my lost card?
The quickest and easiest way is to log on to our website www.flybuys.com.au and follow the simple instructions. Alternatively, you can call the FlyBuys Service Centre on 13 1116*

If I’m not currently a member, how can I join FlyBuys?
You have three choices.

  1. Take one of the applications forms available in store, complete it and send it to FlyBuys at PO Box 833, South Melbourne, Victoria, 3205.
  2. Log on to our website www.flybuys.com.au and follow the simple instructions.
  3. Call the FlyBuys Service Centre on 13 1116*
*Monday to Friday, 9am to 7pm, (AEST excluding public holidays).

Payment

What identification do I need to cash a cheque?
A Check Cheque card or identification which shows:

  • an expiry date
  • the name of the card holder printed on the card
  • the card account number
  • the signature

What payment methods are available at Coles?
Cash, cheque, Visa, Master Card, American Express and EFTPOS.

What happens if an item scans at a different price to that on the shelf?
If an item scans at a price higher than the shelf price, you are entitled to receive the item free, or where multiple identical items are involved, the first free and the rest at the lower price.

How can I purchase Gift Cards?
Gift Cards are available from registers and Service Desks at your local Coles.You can load a Gift Card from $5 to $500.

Technology

What checkout technology is Coles trialing?
Coles is the very first supermarket in the world to offer a new checkout system which includes features that will make your shopping far more informative and understandable. These features include a large display screen which shows customers everything the checkout service assistant is doing, and things like the picture and weight of your fresh produce, and a running sub total of your shopping.

Currently there are 111 stores which have the new checkout system.

Website Usage

Why can't I access the contact, feedback, application and competition entry forms on this website?
We take all reasonable steps to store your personal information securely. Coles Supermarket feedback, contact, application and competition forms use a process called Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology. SSL locks all information passed from you to us in an encrypted envelope making it extremely difficult for this information to be intercepted.

In order to benefit from SSL technology you will require a browser which is SSL-compatible. Some older browser versions are not SSL-compatible.

What is Coles doing about online grocery shopping?
Coles Online is a unique shop from home concept, which allows you to do all your grocery shopping over the Internet. With Coles Online you can purchase just about anything you would normally find on your supermarket shelves. The range is enormous. Everything from meat and deli items to ice cream, fruit and vegetables are available through Coles Online.

Each order is selected by trained personal and fresh produce shoppers, and your groceries are delivered to your door. You can select a two hour delivery window and specially trained drivers make sure each delivery arrives, fresh and frozen, and on time.

Coles Online is currently only available in certain areas; other areas will be available at a later date. If you wish to register your interest, you can do this within the Coles Online site.

How can I search for products online?

To search and purchase (available in selected suburbs) a product visit Coles Online at www.colesonline.com.au.

  • If you're a new customer enter you postcode and select your suburb. If you’re a current Coles Online customer simply log in by entering your username and password.
  • Select "Find Item" from the left side of your screen.
  • Type in the product you are looking for. You can specify a brand name, a manufacturer's name, or a category or type of product. For example: Brand Name: Vegemite, Manufacturer Name: Kraft, Category or Type of Product: cheese, singles
  • Check to make sure the spelling is correct. If you are unsure of the spelling, just enter the first few letters. The search feature works best if you don't use plurals or apostrophes. Click on Search.
  • A list of product categories will be displayed if a match was found. Select the appropriate category and a list of items will be displayed.

What is Coles doing with Clean Up Australia?
Clean Up Australia, in conjunction with Coles, has launched a Waste Reduction Accreditation Program (WRAP), in a bid to tackle one of the environment's most pressing problems - excess waste.

Coles has provided $150,000 in funding to kick-start the WRAP campaign and will be the first retailer to implement the program in all its stores.
