Checkout bag recycling

Coles introduced checkout bag recycling bins in all stores in October 1995. Since the introduction it is estimated that more than 1600 tonnes of plastic (including shrink-wrap) are recycled annually. The plastic is recycled into plastic products such as flowerpots, farm irrigation piping and garbage bins.

To reduce the amount of plastic bags going to landfill and polluting the environment, you can support us and help the environment by bringing in your used plastic bags in and placing them in the checkout recycling bins at the front of the store.

Specialty Trolleys

Coles has a selection of specialty trolleys available for your convenience. All stores have baby capsule, twin and twin toddler trolleys available. If these trolleys are not available, please contact your local Checkout or Store Manager.
