Patties Foods recalls Nanna’s Frozen Mixed Berries and Creative Gourmet Mixed Berries
One of our suppliers, Patties Foods, has issued a recall of four products:
- 1kg Nannas Mixed Berries up to and including Best Before Date 22/11/16.
- 1kg Nanna’s Raspberries with a Best Before Date up to and including 15/09/16
- 300g Creative Gourmet Mixed Berries, with a Best Before Date up to and including 10/12/17.
- 500g Creative Gourmet Mixed Berries, with a Best Before Date up to and including 06/10/17.
Patties Foods has initiated these recalls following a concern that the Nanna’s mixed berry product has been linked to potential Hepatitis A contamination. All of the products are packed in China. The raspberries are grown in China, the other products are a mix of Chinese-grown and Chilean-grown fruit. Shoppers can return the products to Coles for a full refund, even if they have been opened.
Based on information received from Patties Foods, at this stage, we do not believe that any other products sold in Coles are affected. Coles brand frozen berries are sourced in Chile from a different supplier and packing plant than those affected by the recall, and are safe to consume.
If you have consumed the affected product and have concerns or feel unwell, you should visit your doctor.
If you have further questions about the affected products, please contact the supplier Patties Foods on their Consumer Hotline: 1800 650 069.
