Supporting Aussie producers

We know Australia produces great quality food so we work hard to source as much of our fresh food as possible from local growers around the country.

Our Australian First Sourcing Policy means that in FY20, 96% of fresh produce, by volume, was sourced from our supply partners from all over Australia (excluding floral, nuts, dried fruit, sauces, dressings and packaged salads). In FY20, 100% of fresh lamb, pork, chicken, beef, milk and eggs and 100% of Own Brand frozen vegetables were Australian grown.

Plus, we're helping Australian food producers with drought and disaster relief and offering our support for innovative projects through the $50M Coles Nurture Fund.

Meet our farmers and producers

We are proud to partner with thousands of Aussie farmers, growers and suppliers who work hard to put quality first. Thanks to these partnerships, we’re able to offer delicious fresh produce, meat, seafood and bread that are enjoyed by Aussies around the nation. So while our Aussie farmers are committed to producing the finest produce, we’re committed to ensuring you can always find it at Coles.

Drought relief

Together with our customers, Coles has committed more than $18M to drought relief since July 2018. This support has helped more than 4,000 farming families pay for household or farm expenses in times of drought and start projects that will help them cope with drought in the future.
