At Coles, we proudly support many charities and community organisations across Australia through partnerships, fundraising, food donations and disaster relief. 

Thanks to our customers, team members and suppliers, Coles contributed more than $40 million in community support to promote health outcomes and build resilience in our communities in the 2023 financial year. We also provided the equivalent of over 40 million meals to Australians in need.

Our national partners

SecondBite logo - ending waste, ending hunger




Since 2011, Coles, together with SecondBite have donated the equivalent of over 230 million meals to help feed people in need.

Through the donation of unsold, edible food, our partnership with SecondBite helps Coles to improve access to food for vulnerable Australians.

In addition to food donations, Coles also raises funds for SecondBite throughout the year in its supermarkets and Coles Liquor stores.  Together with our customers and suppliers, Coles Group raised and donated more than $7 million to SecondBite in the 2023 financial year. 

SecondBite supports more than 1,000 community partners across Australia who provide food relief in the form of cooked meals, community pantries and food hampers.

Foodbank logo


Coles has partnered with Foodbank for over two decades to support charities which are feeding people in need throughout Australia.

Foodbank collects non-perishable food from Coles’ distribution centres and redistributes it to over 2,500 agencies and community groups.

Coles has provided the equivalent of more than 40 million meals to Foodbank since our partnership began.

Australian Red Cross



Australian Red Cross

Coles supports the Australian Red Cross in their disaster relief efforts by raising and donating funds to help support communities during and after emergencies. 

Coles is also a partner of the Australian Red Cross' Emergency Ready Week.  Held in September each year, Emergency Ready Week aims to improve emergency preparedness through digital and practical resources for individuals and communities.  

This is in addition to our other disaster relief efforts such as providing essential supplies to emergency services teams in times of need, which you can read about here.

Hospitals United for Sick Kids Logo




Hospitals United for Sick Kids

Since 2019, Coles, together with our customers, has raised more than $7 million for Hospitals United for Sick Kids, a national alliance of eight hospitals for children, foundations and paediatric services - Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation and John Hunter Children’s Hospital in NSW; Women’s and Children’s Hospital Foundation in SA (also supporting NT); Canberra Hospital Foundation; Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation; The Common Good – an initiative of the Prince Charles Hospital Foundation in Queensland; Monash Children’s Hospital Foundation in Victoria; and the Royal Hobart Hospital. 

Hospitals United for Sick Kids drives national reach with local impact.  Funds raised through the sales of Mum’s Sause range year-round, and other campaigns, support initiatives which help sick kids get home to the things they miss.

Coles, together with our customers and suppliers, has raised more than $50 million since 2013 for Australian childhood cancer support charity Redkite.

Money raised through specially marked Coles Brand bread year-round and other fundraising initiatives with customers, team members and suppliers have enabled Redkite to support more than 8,000 families facing childhood cancer via food vouchers, counselling services, music therapy and scholarships for young Australians affected by cancer to achieve their goals and ambitions.

Fight MND - it takes people


Together with our Aussie pork farmers, suppliers and customers, Coles Group has raised more than $30 million for FightMND since 2018.

Funds raised during the annual Big Freeze appeals from the sales of beanies, donations and specially marked products such as Coles Brand Australian Fresh pork is helping FightMND to invest in cutting-edge research projects focused on fast-tracking new Motor Neurone Disease (MND) treatments and driving discoveries towards a cure, as well as supporting projects to help improve the lives of Australians living with MND.

Guide dogs logo

Guide Dogs Australia

Coles has been supporting Guide Dogs Australia for more than 40 years, making it our longest-running community partnership.

In that time, more than $14 million has been raised through Coin Collection Dogs placed in our Supermarkets and Coles Liquor stores, as well as other community fundraising activities, which have helped Guide Dogs assist Australians living with low vision or blindness. 

Funds raised are helping Guide Dogs Australia breed, raise and train dogs as well as provide services such as occupational therapy, orientation and mobility, assistive technology and advocacy.

Resilience Project Logo


The Resilience Project 

The Resilience Project (TRP) delivers emotionally engaging programs to schools, sports clubs and businesses, providing practical, evidence-based mental health strategies to build resilience and happiness.

Coles’ partnership with The Resilience Project has enabled the school wellbeing program to support positive mental health in the classroom, staffroom and wider community to over 500,000 students in 1,500 schools across Australia.

More than 120,000 Coles team members have also participated in TRP’s positive mental health Workplace Wellbeing program since 2020.

Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation logo

Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation

Coles has partnered with the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation (SAKGF) to help Australian children develop positive food habits and build self-confidence and life skills. 

Since our partnership began in 2020, Coles, together with our customers and suppliers, has donated more than $1.6 million to SAKGF and has partnered over 70 Coles supermarket stores with local Kitchen Garden Program schools to empower more young Australians to grow, harvest, prepare and share. 

More than 1,000 Australian schools and early learning centres participate in the SAKGF program.

Fitted For Work

Coles has supported Fitted For Work since 2022 to help empower women in need to be work ready. 

Fitted for Work helps women in Australia experiencing disadvantage to become work ready, gain secure employment, and experience success in their careers through initiatives such as recruitment workshops, a personal outfitting service, providing capsule wardrobes of professional clothing, and post-employment mentorships.

Movember Foundation Logo


Coles, together with our team members, customers and suppliers have raised more than $3 million for Movember since 2003 through initiatives such as the Movember Coles Group Challenge and donations from the sales of moustache-shaped donuts and men’s care products during November.

Funds raised has helped Movember to support programs and initiatives aimed at tackling some of the most complex health issues facing men today; mental health and suicide, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer.

Coles is also a proud partner of the AFL and  Movember’s Ahead of the Game youth mental health program.

Bravery Trust Logo

Bravery Trust

At Coles, we sincerely appreciate the service of current and former members of the Australian Defence Force and together with our customers, we want to remember and support service men and women who are facing hardship as a result of injuries or illness from their service.

Together with our customers, Coles has raised more than $6 million for veterans’ support agency Bravery Trust since 2014.  Bravery Trust supports Australian veterans injured during service with medical fees, food vouchers, energy bills, education costs and financial counselling, combining urgent financial aid with empowerment through education for long lasting impact.

Little Athletics Australia Logo

Little Athletics Australia

As the major partner of Little Athletics Australia since 2017, Coles is helping Aussie kids to stay fit and be active in local communities across Australia.

Through the partnership, Coles has donated more than 4 million bananas and provided over $2.4 million in equipment grants to grassroots Little Athletics clubs and centres across Australia.

Coles also partner with Aussie banana growers to raise funds for Little Athletics through the Coles Banana A-Peel and support aspiring athletes through initiatives such as Coles Community Round and appearances from our Coles Athletics ambassadors.

Coles and AFL/AFLW Partnership

Coles is proud to be the Official Supermarket of the AFL and AFLW, investing in both men’s and women’s football from grassroots to the elite professional game, with a shared focus on healthy lifestyles. 

As part of our partnership, Coles Healthy Kicks continues to evolve and grow.  The Coles Healthy Kicks program motivates children aged between six and 12 years to become more physically active, eat nutritious food and develop a healthy mind and body while having fun with others.

Collingwood Football club foundation logo

Collingwood Football Club Foundation

Coles has been a proud partner of the Collingwood Football Club Community Foundation since 2018. 

As part of the partnership, Coles supports the Foundation to provide meals, volunteers, accommodation and support services for people affected by homelessness in Melbourne.

The Foundation also provide opportunities for people with a disability and socially and economically disadvantaged people to participate in football through its wheelchair and community football programs.

Clean up Australia logo

Clean Up Australia

Since 2018, Coles Group has raised more than $1 million to support Clean Up Australia in its mission to clean up, fix up and conserve the environment. 

Funds raised through initiatives such as donations from the sale of reusable community bags and Liquorland’s Love Your Land campaigns have enabled Clean Up Australia to provide free kits to assist volunteers to clean up their local communities. These kits include bags for general waste and recycling, protective gloves, high-vis vests and sharps containers to keep volunteers safe.

In addition to fundraising, Coles team members and their families also take part in Clean Up Australia days and activities to help remove rubbish in local communities.

Planet Ark

Coles and Planet Ark entered into a three-year partnership in June 2023 in a collaboration which will help amplify Planet Ark’s positive environmental actions. 

The partnership seeks to build a more sustainable future with Coles and Planet Ark working together on a range of waste reduction and recycling initiatives including National Recycling Week and the Schools Recycle Right Challenge.

In May 2022, Coles announced a 10-year, $10 million partnership with the Great Barrier Reef Foundation (GBRF) to help strengthen the regeneration and resilience of the Great Barrier Reef.

Fitted for Work fundraising campaign 21 February to 12 March 2024

Coles is supporting Fitted for Work to help empower women in need to be work ready.

From 21 February to 5 March 2024, Coles will donate 10 cents ($0.10) from the sale of Women’s Beauty, Grooming, Period or Continence Care products (excluding Suncare and Vitamins) at all Coles supermarkets in Australia and on Coles Online up to a maximum donation limit of $500,000.

From 6 March to 12 March 2024, Coles will also donate 10 cents ($0.10) from the sale of fresh flowers or potted plants sold at all Coles supermarkets in Australia up to a maximum donation limit of $20,000.

Coles Group Limited ABN 11 004 089 936 (Coles) is authorised to fundraise on behalf of Fitted for Work Limited ABN 78 126 256 862 (Fitted for Work). Funds raised by Coles will benefit Fitted for Work, providing support to women experiencing disadvantage to find work and maintain work. All proceeds will be distributed to Fitted for Work. Campaign commences 21 February 2024 and ends 12 March 2024.
