Home > Christmas Community Support
This Christmas at Coles we're supporting Redkite through the sale of festive biscuits and
merchandise, SecondBite through grocery box donations on Coles Online, and Aspect, through reusable
Christmas shopping bags.
Redkite is an Australian cancer charity providing essential support to children and young people (0–24 years) with cancer, and the family and support network who care for them. They're there throughout the whole cancer journey, from the moment of diagnosis until after treatment finishes.
Want to get involved at your local Coles?
We’ve got some great, fun ways for you to support Redkite this Christmas.
Our gingerbread biscuit is back, along with two new delicious biscuit varieties: the honey-flavoured Elf and the choc-flavoured Reindeer. Not only do they taste good, they do good too! 20 cents from every specially marked Gingerbread sold will be donated to Redkite.
Pick up a Coles Christmas donation card at any checkout for only $2 and we will display it in store. With four festive designs to choose from, and 100% of your donation going directly to Redkite, it’s a great way to show your community support for children and young people with cancer.
You can also donate when you shop online with Coles.
To help Redkite reach many more families with critical assistance, Coles has donated 5 cents from the sale of every loaf of specially marked Coles Brand and Coles High Top bread to Redkite since 26 January 2013.
The $30 million funding from Coles has enabled Redkite to support young people and families 145,000 times over the past five years with services ranging from financial assistance to counselling and educational support.
With 1,750 children and young people being diagnosed with cancer each year, the need for continued support and fundraising for Redkite is vital, to ensure they can continue to provide much needed essential support.
Coles online is proud to partner with SecondBite to help feed an estimated 3.6 million Australians who find themselves unable to access enough food for themselves or their families.
Every Donation Box will include a minimum of $50 of groceries. You can donate $5, $10, $25, $50 or more with 100% of your donation being contributed to groceries for people in need.
This year, through SecondBite and Coles online, you can help deliver special Donation Boxes full of grocery essentials, such as pasta, soup and cereal to people in need this Christmas.
These Donation Boxes will be sent to SecondBite, who will distribute them to people in need and help put meals on otherwise empty plates.
Four students from Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) Schools will see their colourful festive artwork on thousands of reusable shopping bags sold at Coles supermarkets nationally.
The new range of Christmas reusable bags will help raise funds for Aspect, Australia’s largest service provider for people on the autism spectrum, with ten per cent from the sale of each Christmas bag donated directly to Aspect.
Coles received design entries from Aspect school students across Australia. Each of the four winners have received a $500 Coles gift card. The winning designs have been applied to four reusable shopping bags including two shoulder bags ($2 each), a chiller bag ($2.50 each) and a tote bag ($1 each).
The festive designs include a twist on the classic Christmas tree, a cheeky snowman, Rudolph and his red nose, and a truly Aussie Christmas with Santa Claus, a koala and kangaroo in a sleigh.
