Coles and Clean Up Australia are teaming up to give all primary and secondary school students across Australia the opportunity to design the new range of Coles reusable shopping bags and win fantastic prizes.
The new range of sturdy, durable, multi-use shopping bags are better for the environment because they can be used over and over again. Then at the end of their lives, these bags can be recycled through the REDcycle bins at Coles. These bags are also great for our community because all the proceeds from the sale of these bags go to Coles community and charity partners including Clean Up Australia.
Each selected bag design will be rewarded with $5000 for your school to spend on an environmental or sustainability project. Plus a $250 Coles Gift Card will be awarded to the student who created the winning design. A total of 12 amazing bag designs will be selected.
All primary and secondary schools in Australia are eligible to participate. All you need to do is encourage your students to take part and make sure their entries are submitted by 14th December 2017.
We are looking for original bag designs that are bold, creative and desirable. Your bag design should be based on one of the following design themes:
1. Nature and our environment.
2. Delicious, fresh food.
The bag design will also need to include:
The designers first name & school name; students should think about the way an artist signs their name or leaves their personal mark on a painting. This should be included at the bottom of the bag design.
Be designed in full colour print – we want our bags to be bold.
Otherwise the design style is completely up to students. Designs could include photography, illustrations, graphic designs or drawings. Please refer to the competition full terms & conditions below.
All proceeds from the bags will be donated to our charity / cause partners. In 2018 these will be Clean Up Australia, Guide Dogs, Little Athletics and SecondBite.
