Over the years we’ve been proud to partner with a number of great charities that really do make a difference.

Last financial year Coles’ direct support to our charity partners totaled 43.9 million and an additional $7.9 million was contributed by customers, team members and suppliers. We are very proud of these achievements, and encourage others to get involved and support Australians in need.

How you can support our Charity Partners

Head into store and pick up these products and support those in need.

  • Buy a reusable green shopping bag for $1 and Coles will donate five cents to SecondBite.
  • Buy specially marked packs of Coles Brand and High Top bread – we’re donating five cents from the sale of every loaf to Redkite.
  • Support the Coles Indigenous Food Fund by purchasing any Yaru Water or Outback Spirit product, and 10 cents from every product sold will be donated.

Recycling plastic in store

Recycle Plastic in-store

To responsibly dispose of the soft plastic packaging you bring home each time you shop, simply bring it back to any of our 500 stores that participate in the REDcycle plastic bag and packaging program.  The Coles REDcycle plastic bag and packaging recycling program is one project where we are working collaboratively with our customers to provide better environmental outcomes. Our customers return their plastic bags and packaging to specially-marked bins at the front of participating stores and we make sure it’s turned into outdoor furniture for Aussie primary schools and pre-schools.

    Types of soft plastics:

  • Shopping bags including reusable 'green’ bags
  • Fresh fruit and vegie bags
  • Bread bags
  • Cereal box liners
  • Biscuit wrappers and confectionery packaging
  • Rice and pasta packets and frozen food bags

If you don’t have a convenient soft plastics recycling location near you, you can mail your soft plastic to:
RED Group
