Helping drought-affected dairy farmers through donations and milk sales

Coles and our customers have already committed more than $12 million to drought relief, including $5 million from the Coles Nurture Fund to assist drought-affected farmers.

To further support Australian farmers, Coles has increased the price of our 3L Own Brand milk from $3.00 to $3.30 in all states until the end of the year, with 100% of the 30 cent price increase going to drought-affected dairy farmers.

Applications for the Coles Dairy Drought Relief Fund are now open. Drought-affected dairy farmers are encouraged to apply by emailing their application to

Coles has appointed PwC as an independent auditor to oversee the application administration process and verify that funds have been allocated to drought-affected dairy farmers as committed.

Coles’ support for drought relief also involves:

  • Over $7 million for the CWA’s drought relief efforts raised from customer donations during August and September, which were matched dollar for dollar by Coles; and
  • A total of $5 million in grants or interest free loans from the Coles Nurture Fund for farmers who have a project which will help them to combat drought in the future.
