Face masks remain mandatory in VIC stores

The Victorian Government has confirmed that face masks are still required to be worn when shopping at supermarkets.

Coles is continuing to prioritise the health and safety of our customers and team members, so we ask customers to ensure they are wearing a face mask before entering any of our stores in Victoria unless they have an exemption – and the same rules apply to our team.

Along with our enhanced cleaning and sanitisation measures, this will help us provide a safer environment for our customers and team members.

For the latest advice on state government measures to reduce COVID transmission in Victoria please visit coronavirus.vic.gov.au.

Masks recommended in NSW stores

The NSW Chief Health Officer has now recommended the use of face masks for NSW residents in indoor settings where physical distancing is hard to maintain, including while shopping in supermarkets.

In line with this advice, Coles is providing masks for our NSW team members and we encourage customers to wear a mask while in our NSW stores.

The Chief Health Officer has confirmed that staying home and getting tested if you are unwell, physical distancing, and regular hand-washing are still the best defence against COVID.

Coles will continue to work with State and Federal Government health experts to implement any further safety measures they recommend.

South Australia purchase limit and store trading hours update

Coles’ South Australian supermarkets will open from 7am to 8pm on Saturday 21 November before reverting to normal trading hours on Sunday 22 November. You can check your local store's opening hours here

Coles team members have been working hard to replenish our South Australian stores and stock levels are beginning to return to normal. This has allowed us to remove purchase limits on all products, effective Saturday 21 November – with the exception of our standard two-can limit on infant formula.

We ask that customers continue to buy only what they need so that everyone in our community can purchase food and everyday essentials.
