Face masks remain mandatory in all VIC supermarkets and liquor stores
The Victorian Government has advised that face masks are still required to be worn when shopping at shopping centres and in large retail stores.
At Coles we are continuing to prioritise the health and safety of our customers and team members. As part of this, we ask customers to ensure they are wearing a face mask before entering any of our supermarkets or Liquor Land, Vintage Cellars, First Choice or First Choice Liquor Market stores in Victoria unless they have an exemption – and the same rules apply to our team. We have face masks available for sale in our supermarkets.
Along with our enhanced cleaning and sanitisation measures, this will help us provide a safer environment for our customers and team members.

Coles Warriewood, New South Wales
Coles has been informed by health authorities that a customer who has tested positive for COVID visited our Coles Warriewood Supermarket between 2:00pm and 2:10pm on 31st December 2020 and between 12:45pm and 1:00pm on 5th January 2021.
NSW Health has advised that anyone who visited the store during this time is considered a low risk, casual contact and should get tested immediately and self-isolate until they receive a negative result.
Coles’ standard cleaning procedures comply with the Federal Government’s COVID-19 Hygiene Practices For Supermarkets and frequent cleaning and sanitisation has occurred in the time since the customer was last on site.

Coles Ashfield, New South Wales
Coles has been informed by health authorities that a customer who has tested positive for COVID visited our Coles Ashfield Supermarket between 4:00pm and 5:00pm on 6th January 2021.
NSW Health has advised that anyone who visited the store during this time is considered a low risk, casual contact. Customers should monitor for symptoms, and if symptoms occur get tested and self-isolate.
Coles’ standard cleaning procedures comply with the Federal Government’s COVID-19 Hygiene Practices For Supermarkets and frequent cleaning and sanitisation has occurred in the time since the customer was last on site.

Shopping safely in Greater Brisbane: Masks now required outside the home, including in retail stores
Coles has implemented additional safety measures in our stores in Greater Brisbane to help keep customers and team members safe, following the Queensland government’s announcement of increased COVID restrictions.
We ask customers over the age of 12 to ensure they are wearing a face mask before entering any of our stores in Greater Brisbane unless they have an exemption – and the same rules apply to our team.
Coles has also implemented enhanced safety and hygiene measures in Greater Brisbane stores to help customers shop safely, including greeting customers at the entrance of our supermarkets to remind them to use the sanitising station, which includes hand sanitiser and disinfectant wipes for trolleys, before they enter.
Coles’ standard cleaning procedures in all supermarkets, liquor stores and Coles Express sites comply with all government health and safety guidelines to reduce the risk of COVID transmission.
Coles will continue to monitor product availability and asks that customers only buy what they need to help ensure everyone in the community has access to food and everyday essentials.

Coles Sunnybank Hills, Queensland
Coles has been informed by health authorities that a customer who has tested positive for COVID-19 visited our Coles Sunnybank Hills Supermarket between 7.30am and 8.00am on January 5th 2021.
Queensland Department of Health has advised that anyone who visited the store at this time should undertake a COVID-19 test, isolate at home for 14 days, and get retested if symptoms appear.
Coles’ standard cleaning procedures comply with the Federal Government’s COVID-19 Hygiene Practices For Supermarkets and frequent cleaning and sanitisation has occurred in the time since the customer was last on site.

Face masks mandatory in all Greater Sydney stores from 3 January
The New South Wales Government has advised that starting 3 January, face masks are required to be worn when shopping in Greater Sydney, including Wollongong, the Central Coast and Blue Mountains.
At Coles we are continuing to prioritise the health and safety of our customers and team members in supermarkets, liquor stores and Coles Express sites. As part of this, we ask customers to ensure they are wearing a face mask before entering any of our stores in Greater Sydney unless they have an exemption – and the same rules apply to our team.
We continue to strongly encourage the wearing of masks in our NSW stores outside of Sydney and have face masks available for sale in our supermarkets across the state.
Along with our enhanced cleaning and sanitisation measures, this will help us provide a safer environment for our customers and team members.

We practice social distancing, have enhanced cleaning and hygiene practices of high touchpoint areas, and are encouraging cashless payments.
