Recall of Rockmelons

Two rockmelons

Recalled on August 3 2016

Coles is recalling Rockmelon due to the NSW Food Authority confirming that rockmelons from one farm in the Northern Territory have tested positive for Salmonella contamination.

The farm supplied to Coles in all states and territories with the exception of Tasmania and Western Australia. Coles has already taken steps to identify, isolate and remove rockmelons from this supplier from our stores and supply chain, and suspended further orders from this supplier while investigations continue.

We apologise to customers for the lack of availability while we process the recall of affected stock, and will begin restocking rockmelons from unaffected suppliers in coming days.

Customers who have purchased rockmelon and have concerns are invited to return it to stores for a full refund.

Further information is available on the NSW Food Authority website here: http://www.foodauthority.nsw.gov.au/news/newsandmedia/departmental/2016-08-03-salmonella-nt-rockmelon-grower
