3.3        Only the KitchenAid Ovenware listed in clause 3.2 are eligible to be redeemed for Credits, to the exclusion of all other ovenware sold at Coles.

3.4        Rainchecks will not be provided during the Campaign Period or Redemption Period.

3.5        Credits can only be redeemed for KitchenAid Ovenware while stocks last.

3.6        Products will only be redeemable in a Coles Supermarket store and on Coles Online (excludes Coles App).

3.7        Products can be purchased during the Campaign Period at the retail price as indicated in store or on Coles Online at the customer’s choice if the customer does not have sufficient Credits to redeem Products, or if the customer is not a Flybuys member.

3.8               Products can also be purchased/redeemed via a half pay initiative. If the customer has half the number of required Credits, the customer will have the option to ‘half pay’. This requires redeeming using 50% of the required Credits and will also require the customer to pay 50% of the Product’s retail price. The payment component can be completed using cash, EFTPOS and gift cards at any Coles Supermarket store or via Flypay, Debit or Credit card on Coles Online (excludes Coles App).

3.9               To redeem any Credits in store, customers must visit a Coles Supermarket store and select the Products they wish to redeem/purchase from the merchandise stand displayed. Customers are then required to take their Products through a checkout where they can scan the Products along with their Flybuys. If enough Credits have been accumulated, the customer will be given the option to redeem the Products for the Credits. If the customer has half the number of required credits, the customer will have the option to ‘half pay’ and will then be required to pay 50% of the Products retail price and use 50% of the amount of required Credits. If there are not enough Credits, the customer still has the option of purchasing the Products at the retail price displayed. Customers do not have the option of choosing to half pay if they have the full amount of Credits required to redeem the Product for free. If the customer has enough Credits to redeem more than one item of KitchenAid Ovenware Products in store, the customer must scan the Products and their Flybuys. They will then be asked whether they would like to redeem these Products using Credits. The customer will then receive the first item of KitchenAid Ovenware product for free and the second item for free (if enough Credits) or will qualify for half pay and will need to redeem using 50% of the Credits and pay the 50% of the retail price.

3.10            To redeem any Credits on Coles Online (excludes the Coles App), customers must sign up or log in to their Coles Online account and select the Products they wish to redeem/purchase and add them to their trolley along with other items if required to qualify the minimum order value of $50. Customers are then required to check out their trolley whereby their account will be checked to ensure their Flybuys account is linked to their Coles Online account. Once their Flybuys is linked, the customer will be prompted to ‘Redeem credits’ or ‘Skip offer’ if they do not wish to redeem their credits. The customer’s order confirmation screen will display their order total including their redeemed products at retail price without the credit deduction. If customers choose to ‘Redeem credits’ and has enough credits for half credits and ‘half pay’ or full credits for an item, their credits will be deducted when products are packed and invoiced. Credits will be applied to the most expensive KitchenAid Ovenware product first to maximise the amount of credits used. If customers choose to ‘Redeem credits’ and they do not have any credits in their account when their order is packed and invoiced, they will be charged in full for the products.

KitchenAid Ovenware Campaign - Frequently asked questions

KitchenAid Ovenware Campaign FAQs

1.     What is the KitchenAid Ovenware program?

The Coles KitchenAid Ovenware Program is an exciting opportunity for Coles’ customers who are Flybuys members to spend $20 or more and scan or enter their Flybuys to earn ovenware credits and redeem the credits to collect free KitchenAid Ovenware in Coles Supermarkets or on Coles Online for eligible purchases (as outlined in paragraph 6).  There is also a half-pay option which allows you to redeem the ovenware by using 50% of the required ovenware credits and paying the remaining 50% of the retail price.

2.     How does the program work?

Simply spend $20 or more in one transaction on eligible purchases after savings and discounts in a Coles Supermarket or Coles Online from 3rd April 2024 to 9th July 2024, and scan or enter your Flybuys card to earn ovenware credits. $20 spend excludes the purchase of Coles Insurance products, Coles Express, Coles Best Buy Online Exclusive, DoorDash, UberEats, iTunes cards, gift cards, mobile phone and mobile phone plans, recharge, Opal top up, calling cards, charity products, liquor, tobacco, tobacco related product purchases, subscriptions, and delivery fees. Other products may also be excluded at Coles’ discretion during the Campaign Period.

For example, if you spend $60 in one transaction, you will receive 3 ovenware credits.  The qualifying spend is calculated after applying all savings and discounts and excludes the purchase of select products. For full terms & conditions visit coles.com.au/kaovenwareterms

Once you have collected enough ovenware credits, head into a Coles Supermarket, scan your Flybuys card as well as your chosen KitchenAid Ovenware product to redeem it for free provided you have enough credits. You can also collect the KitchenAid Ovenware products via half pay by using 50% of the required ovenware credits and paying the remaining 50% of the retail price. If you choose to ‘Redeem credits’ and have enough credits for half credits and ‘half pay’ or full credits for an item, your credits will be applied to the most expensive product first to maximise the number of credits used. The KitchenAid Ovenware products are also available to purchase at full retail price.

You will also be able to redeem your ovenware credits on Coles Online (excludes Coles App). You must sign up or log in to your Coles Online account and select the products you wish to redeem/purchase and add them to your trolley along with other items if required to qualify for the minimum order value of $50. You are then required to check out your trolley whereby your account will be checked to ensure your Flybuys account is linked to your Coles Online account. Once your Flybuys card is linked, you will be prompted to ‘Redeem credits’ or ‘Skip offer’ if you do not wish to redeem your credits. The order confirmation screen will display your order total including your redeemed products at retail price without the credit deduction. If you choose to ‘Redeem credits’ and have enough credits for half credits and ‘half pay’ or full credits for an item, your credits will be deducted when the products are packed and invoiced. Credits will be applied to the most expensive ovenware product first to maximise the number of credits used. If you choose to ‘Redeem credits’ and do not have any credits in your account when your order is packed and invoiced, you will be charged the full retail price for the products.

The KitchenAid Ovenware products are oven safe up to 260°C; however, it is not recommended to place product very close to / directly under the grill / broiler. The ceramics can be stored in the fridge.

The KitchenAid Ovenware products are safe for cooking or reheating in the microwave (excluding the Cast Iron Grill Pan and Casserole Pot). For best results, add a small amount of liquid or sauce in the bottom of your ceramic when cooking with meat.

Baking time can vary when using stoneware. Monitor and adjust the cooking time as needed.

Use a hot pad or trivet before placing the hot ceramics on an unprotected surface.

To avoid possible damage, do not set hot ceramics on a cold or wet surface. Do not place a cold dish in a hot oven.

After removal from the oven, the KitchenAid ovenware will retain heat longer than standard bakeware.

38.  My KitchenAid Ovenware baking dish shows little cracks, what can I do?

Cracks in your stoneware baking dish can be caused by a thermal shock. Thermal shock occurs when sudden temperature fluctuation exists which causes stress to a product.  We therefore recommend that you read the following tips to prevent this or prevent this from getting worse:

Never clean a baking dish that is still hot.

Do not place a hot baking dish directly in the refrigerator or freezer. First, let the baking dish cool down to room temperature.

Never place a cold baking dish directly in a hot oven. First, let the baking dish reach room temperature.

39.  Can I store my KitchenAid Ovenware in the freezer?

KitchenAid Ovenware are safe to use in the freezer, however, to avoid possible damage from thermal shock, do not place stoneware in a hot oven from the freezer. Do not place hot ceramics in the freezer or into cold water before it has cooled to room temperature.

40.  How to use your KitchenAid Cast Iron Casserole Pot on an induction hob

The Cast Iron Casserole Pot is safe for use on all cooking surfaces, including induction. You can verify this by checking for the symbol below on the bottom of the cookware.

Induction hobs develop a very intense heat in a very short time. The Cast Iron Casserole Pot equipped with our innovative induction technology will heat up very quickly on induction hobs. Be especially careful not to use high heat and never leave your cookware unattended while in use.

The diameter of the Cast Iron Grill Pan and Casserole Pot should be equal to the size of the cooking zone. If the pan is too small, the element may not sense the pan and will not activate. Here's an illustration of how to place the pan on the correct cooking zone.

When using induction hobs, ensure that your hob and Cast-Iron Casserole Pot are free from debris so as not to scratch the hob’s surface.

Never shuffle or drag the Cast Iron Casserole Pot across the stovetop during cooking as this may cause scratching. Always lift the pan.

41.  Which oils or fats should I use in my KitchenAid Cast Iron Casserole Pot?

We recommend using oil or butter. Remember, some oils and fats burn at lower temperatures. Use oils and fats that have a high smoke point, like refined olive oil, peanut oil, corn oil and (clarified) butter.

Do not use extra virgin olive oil as it cannot withstand high heat and is not suitable for frying. It will leave a thin carbonised layer on your non-stick that is difficult to clean.

Do not use any type of oil sprays, including aerosols, mist and pump sprays. These sprays can cause residue build-up that is difficult to remove from all types of cookware.

42.  How to make optimal use of your KitchenAid Cast Iron Casserole Pot?

To prevent damage to your KitchenAid Cast Iron Casserole Pot and keep it in optimal condition, we advise you to read the following care & usage suggestions:

Always put oil (suitable for cooking) or butter in your pan before heating.

For best result, use low to medium heat on cooktop. Allow the pan to heat gradually for even and efficient cooking. High heat can damage the cookware finish.

Cast iron cookware is not ideal for dry cooking. Before heating, select a liquid, oil (suitable for cooking), fat or butter to cover at a minimum the base of the pan.

Cook on a burner that is similar in base diameter to the cookware you have selected.

When cooking on a gas stove, adjust the flame so it does not flare up the sides of the cookware.

Because of the excellent heat retention of your cookware, food and oil can carbonise very rapidly.

Do not use any type of oil sprays, including aerosols, mist, and pump sprays. These sprays can cause residue build-up that is difficult to remove from all types of cookware.

Allow the oil/butter (suitable for cooking) to heat up in the cookware before adding food.

When cooking, use wood, plastic, or heat-resistant nylon tools to avoid scratching the enamelled cast iron. Do not cut food in the cast iron cookware.

When using halogen, ceramic and induction hobs, ensure that your hob and cookware are free from debris so as not to scratch the hob’s surface.

Always lift the cast iron cookware when moving it from any type of cooktop surface. Sliding the cookware may damage the cooktop or base of the pan.

Use a hot pad or trivet before placing the hot cast iron cookware on an unprotected surface.

43.  Can I cool down my hot KitchenAid Cast Iron Casserole Pot under cold water?

Do not put hot cookware under cold water. Allow the cookware to cool down completely.

Cleaning a hot pan with cold water can cause a temperature shock, which can cause damage to the product including breakage and cracks, which cannot be undone.

44.  Rust appears on my KitchenAid Cast Iron Casserole Pot, what should I do?

If your cast iron casserole pot starts to show signs of rust, it might be the result of not immediately drying the pan after cleaning it. Another reason could be storing the pan improperly. Besides that, your cast iron cookware is handwash only. Do not put in the dishwasher.

Solution:

Use a soft brush or fine sandpaper to remove any rust spots, then rub the area with cooking oil. Store cast iron cookware in a dry cupboard. If items are to be stored for a long period of time, place a paper towel between lid and casserole to absorb moisture.

45.  The coating of my KitchenAid Cast Iron Casserole Pot has started to chip, what can I do?

We see chipping/flaking of the coating more often due to overheating of the pot. This can happen after putting the pot directly on high heat or by heating it up when empty. To prevent your cast iron casserole pot from chipping, we would like to point out the following care & usage instructions:

Heat the pot slowly, not directly at the highest setting. For induction, for example, setting 3.

Do not heat the pot without oil/butter.

Do not leave the pot on the highest setting of the induction or ceramic hob for too long. Frequent use at the highest setting will cause the non-stick coating to wear out quickly.

Do not place the pot back on the still warm heat source.

If you stack the pots on other pans, always use a protection between the pans so that they cannot damage each other.

Should your cast iron pan show signs of chipping, please contact our customer support. We will help you to find a solution.

46.  Where is the best place to store my cast iron cookware?

Cast iron is very sensitive to moisture. Over time, traces of rust can appear on the edges of your cookware.

Therefore, your cast iron cookware is best stored in a dry cupboard.

If items are to be stored for a long period of time:

Place a paper towel between the lid and casserole to absorb moisture.

Rub cooking oil over the inside and sides of the pan after you have cleaned and dried the pan thoroughly. Wipe away any excess oil with a paper towel.
