Ingredients

  • 375g Coles Simply Penne Pasta
  • 4 bacon rashers, chopped
  • 2 x 510g jars Coles Simply Tomato & Basil Pasta Sauce
  • 2 cups (240g) frozen peas
  • 250g tub cooking cream cheese

Method

  1. Step 1

    Cook pasta in a large saucepan of boiling water following packet directions or until al dente. Drain, reserving 1/3 cup (80ml) of the cooking liquid.
  2. Step 2

    Heat a large deep frying pan over high heat. Add the bacon and cook, stirring, for 5 mins or until golden. Add the sauce, three-quarters of the peas and the reserved cooking liquid. Cook, stirring, for 5 mins or until mixture comes to the boil. Stir in the pasta. Transfer mixture to a large baking dish. Spoon over the cream cheese.
  3. Step 3

    Preheat grill on high. Cook under the grill for 3-5 mins or until mixture is bubbling. Place the remaining peas in a heatproof bowl and cover with boiling water. Stand for 2 mins. Drain. Sprinkle over the pasta mixture and season to serve.
