Cheat’s creme egg brownie
Using Creme Eggs and brownie mix, Easter dessert has never been so easy. Filled with rich chocolate flavour, this is one the kids will love.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Grease a 20cm square
cake pan with butter and line with baking paper, allowing it to overhang
on the sides. Prepare the brownie mix, following the packet directions. Spoon into the prepared pan and smooth the surface. Bake for 25 minutes or until almost set. Remove from the oven and arrange the Creme Eggs cut-side up over the top of the brownie, gently pushing into
the brownie, and bake for a further five minutes or until the brownie
is cooked through. Remove from oven and set aside in the pan to cool completely. Cut into pieces to serve and have fun with the angles.

Ingredients
- 500g pkt brownie mix
- 2 eggs
- 125g butter, melted
- Cadbury Creme Eggs, halved
- Mini Cadbury Creme Eggs, halved
Method
STEP 1
Preheat oven to 180˚C. Grease a 20cm square cake pan and line the base and sides with baking paper, allowing sides to overhang.
STEP 2
Prepare brownie mix with eggs and butter following packet directions. Bake for 5 mins less than directed on the pack. Remove from the oven. Carefully top with Cadbury Creme Eggs. Bake for a further 5 mins or until chocolate eggs begin to melt and the brownie is cooked through. Cool in pan for 15 mins before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Tip
To keep your Creme Eggs runny, don’t cook for any longer than 5 mins once chocolate eggs have been added to the brownie base.
