Put a twist on classic brownies with our mouth-watering chocolate peanut butter version. It’s deliciously gooey in the centre and crisp on the outside.

Note: + cooling & 1 hour freezing time

  • 1 cup (140g) Coles Smooth Choc Peanut Butter
  • 500g pkt Coles Ultimate 40% Chocolate Chip Brownies Baking Mix
  • 100g butter, melted
  • 2 Coles Australian Free Range Eggs
  • Cocoa powder, to serve

Grease a 20cm (base measurement) square cake pan and line with baking paper. Spread peanut butter over the base of the pan and freeze for 1 hour or until firm.

Preheat oven to 180°C. Remove the peanut butter from the pan and reline the pan with more baking paper. Place the brownie mix, butter and eggs in a medium bowl and stir until well combined. Spread half the brownie mixture over the base of the pan. Carefully arrange the frozen peanut butter on top. Spread the remaining brownie mixture over the top of the peanut butter. Bake for 50 mins or until the brownie is firm to touch and cooked through. Set aside in the pan for 15 mins before transferring to a wire rack.

Dust with cocoa powder. Cut into pieces and serve warm or at room temperature.
