- 800g Coles Australian No Added Hormones 5 Star Beef Mince
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 6 Coles Hamburger Rolls, split
- Coles Special Burger Sauce, to serve
- 3 cups shredded iceberg lettuce
- 8 slices Swiss cheese
- 2 dill pickles, thinly sliced
- 1 white or brown onion, thinly sliced
- Reduced-salt tomato sauce, to serve
Place mince in a bowl and season. Shape the mince into 8 even patties. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Cook patties, in batches, for 3 mins each side or until cooked through.
Meanwhile, preheat grill on high. Place rolls, cut-sides up, on a large baking tray. Cook under grill for 1-2 mins or until light golden.
Place 4 roll bases on serving plates. Spread with burger sauce. Top with half the lettuce, half the patties, half the cheese, half the pickles and half the onion. Top with tomato sauce. Top burgers with another roll piece, reserving 4 roll tops. Spread with burger sauce. Repeat layering with remaining lettuce, patties, cheese, pickles and onion. Spread the reserved roll tops with more tomato sauce. Top burgers with roll tops.
