Easy meatball subs

This American style meatball roll, topped with melted cheese, is a takeaway favourite, but you can make it at home in just 20 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 560g pkt Coles Australian Beef & Pork Meatballs
  • 400g can diced tomatoes
  • 4 Coles Bakery Hot Dog Rolls, split
  • 120g pkt Coles Australian Baby Rocket
  • ½ cup (60g) coarsely grated tasty Cheddar cheese

Method

STEP 1

Heat a large non-stick frying pan over high heat. Add the meatballs and cook, turning, for 8 mins or until brown all over and cooked through.

STEP 2

Add the tomato and bring to a simmer. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 mins or until sauce thickens. Season.

STEP 3

Divide the rolls among serving plates. Divide the rocket among the rolls. Top with the meatballs and sauce. Sprinkle with the Cheddar cheese.
