This classic pastrami and Swiss cheese sandwich is made with toasted sourdough and slaw for a super easy dinner or substantial lunch.

Ingredients

  • 525g loaf Coles Finest by Laurent Rye Sourdough Vienna, cut into 8 slices diagonally
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese
  • 2 x 80g pkts Primo Pastrami
  • 200g pkt Coles Australian Coleslaw
  • ½ cup (125ml) thousand island dressing

Method

  1. Step 1

    Heat a barbecue grill or chargrill on medium. Place half the bread slices on a clean work surface. Top with the cheese, pastrami and half the coleslaw. Drizzle with half the dressing.
  2. Step 2

    Top with remaining bread slices. Cook on the grill, in batches, for 2 mins each side or until toasted and heated through.
  3. Step 3

    Meanwhile, combine remaining coleslaw and remaining dressing in a small bowl. Serve the toasted sandwiches with the coleslaw.
