Sausage and mushroom pide

Whip up this fuss-free pide loaded with sausage, mushroom, garlic hummus and gooey mozzarella. It's a guaranteed hit.

Ingredients

  • 2 Coles Finest Italian Style Pork Sausages, casings removed
  • 400g Coles Turkish Pide
  • 1/2 cup (120g) garlic hommus
  • 3/4 cup (80g) shredded mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup sliced white mushrooms
  • 10g baby spinach leaves
  • 1 long red chilli, thinly sliced (optional)

Method

STEP 1 

Preheat oven to 200°C. Line a large baking tray with baking paper.

STEP 2 

Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Add the sausage and cook, stirring with a wooden spoon to break up into lumps, for 5 mins or until brown all over and almost cooked through. Use a slotted spoon to transfer to a heatproof bowl.

STEP 3 

Place pide on the lined tray and spread with hommus. Top with mozzarella, sausage and mushroom. Bake for 10-15 mins or until mozzarella melts and pide is heated through. 

STEP 4 

Top with spinach and chilli, if using. Cut into pieces to serve.
