Spicy wings with blue cheese sauce
Watching the footy this weekend? These finger-lickin’ spicy chicken wings are so delicious, they’ll be flying off the plate.
- 1/4 cup (60ml) maple syrup
- 2 tbs tomato sauce
- 2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp onion salt
- 1kg Coles Australian RSPCA Approved Chicken Wings
Blue cheese sauce
- 150g soft blue cheese
- 1/4 cup (75g) mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup (60ml) buttermilk
- 1/4 cup (60g) sour cream
- 2 tbs finely chopped chives
- 1 tbs finely chopped dill
Preheat oven to 200°C. Line a roasting pan with baking paper. Combine the maple syrup, tomato sauce, paprika, cumin, oregano and onion salt in a large bowl. Add the chicken and toss to combine.
Arrange the chicken mixture in a single layer in the lined pan. Bake, turning occasionally, for 40-45 mins or until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through.
Meanwhile, to make the blue cheese sauce, place the cheese, mayonnaise, buttermilk and sour cream in a food processor and process until smooth. Transfer the mixture to a serving bowl. Stir in the chive and dill. Season.
Arrange chicken on a serving platter and serve with the blue cheese sauce.
