Strawberry and chocolate hot cross bun bruschetta
In just 20 minutes you can whip up this sweet treat. Our strawberry and chocolate hot cross bun bruschetta is the perfect morning or afternoon treat.
Note: + 15 mins standing time
- 250g strawberries, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup (60ml) maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla bean paste
- 250g ricotta
- 1 tbs caster sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 4 Coles Chocolate Hot Cross Buns, split, toasted
Combine strawberry, maple syrup and vanilla in a large bowl. Set aside for 15 mins to develop the flavours.
Combine the ricotta, sugar and cinnamon in a medium bowl.
Divide the hot cross buns among serving plates. Spread cut sides of the buns with the ricotta mixture. Top with strawberry mixture and serve immediately.
Serve with mint leaves.
