Tasia and Gracia’s chilli oil pasta
Bring the heat next meal time with this simple but flavourful chilli oil pasta. From pan to plate in just 15 minutes, this tasty pasta dish is sure to become a new household favourite.
- 200g spaghetti
- 2 tbs extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tbs Laoganma Hot Chilli Oil
- 1 tsp dried chilli flakes
- ½ tsp garlic powder or 1 garlic clove, thinly sliced
- ½ tsp caster sugar
- 1 tbs soy sauce
Cook the pasta in a saucepan of boiling water following packet directions or until al dente. Drain, reserving 1/4 cup (60ml) of cooking liquid.
Meanwhile, heat the olive oil and chilli oil in a wok or large frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the chilli flakes and garlic and cook until aromatic. Add the sugar and stir to combine. Season.
Reduce heat to low and add the pasta and reserved cooking liquid to the wok or pan with the soy sauce. Stir until well combined and heated through.
