Diced beef recipes

There are lots of different diced beef recipes depending on the cut of beef you use. Quick-cooking cuts such as beef rump steak are ideal for dicing and threading onto skewers to make tasty kebabs. For slow cooker recipes, it’s best to make your own diced beef using cuts that are suited to long slow cooking, such as beef chuck steak or gravy beef. Cut the beef into 3cm pieces, trimming if necessary. Slow cooked diced beef stews, casseroles and curries are delicious as they are and make fantastic pie fillings too. To save time, you can also use bought diced beef in these recipes.

1. Air fryer curry beef kebabs

This diced beef slow cooker recipe is a classic beef, bacon and mushroom stew with an extra comforting spin. Similar to a savoury scone dough, the dumpling mix is made with flour, polenta, cheese, buttermilk and fresh herbs. Bake it on top of the beef for a delicious cheesy crust.

6. Chunky beef and Guinness pie

Think diced beef, think pie – it’s ideal in chunky beef pie fillings. Make a slow-cooked beef and Guinness casserole in the oven, then spoon into a dish, top with puff pastry and bake for a delicious family pie. Or use the recipe to make mini pies in individual baking dishes.

10. Beef and beer slow cooked pies

Here’s a different way to turn a slow-cooked beef stew into a diced beef pie. While the beef is simmering on the stovetop, bake crispy herbed potato stacks in the oven. Then divide the stew among individual baking dishes, top each with a potato stack and finish in the oven.
