How to cook quinoa

Learn to cook light, fluffy quinoa every time by applying our super simple steps. With a nutty flavour and light texture, it's a great addition to fresh salads and soups. 

STEP 1

Place 1 cup of quinoa in a sieve and rinse under cold water until the water runs clear. Drain well.

STEP 2

Place the quinoa in a large saucepan with 3 cups of water. Bring to the boil over high heat. Reduce the heat to low and cover with a lid. Cook for 15 minutes or until the liquid is absorbed.

STEP 3

Remove the pan from the heat and keep the lid on. Stand, covered, for 10 minutes to steam. This finishes the cooking process and gives the quinoa a fluffier texture.

STEP 4

Gently fluff the quinoa with a fork to separate the grains before serving.

Light and fluffy quinoa makes a great base for salads.
