Snickers Trifle

Ingredients

  • 290g pkt milk chocolate melts, melted
  • 300ml thickened cream
  • 300ml double cream
  • 600ml thickened cream, extra
  • 2 x 540g Coles Make at Home Chocolate Mud Cakes
  • 2/3 cup (160ml) Coles Salted Caramel Topping
  • ½ cup (70g) salted roasted peanuts, coarsely chopped
  • 4 x 50g Snickers bars, chopped

Method

  1. Place the chocolate in a large bowl. Use an electric mixer to whisk the thickened cream in a bowl until soft peaks form. Add ¼ cup (60ml) of the cream to the chocolate in the bowl and fold to combine. Add the chocolate mixture to the remaining cream in the bowl and whisk until combined.
  2. Use a clean electric mixer to whisk the double cream and extra thickened cream in a bowl until firm peaks form.
  3. Use a large serrated knife to split each cake in half horizontally. Coarsely chop each cake half.
  4. Arrange one-third of the cake pieces in a large glass serving dish, gently pressing to fit. Spoon over half the chocolate cream. Drizzle with half the caramel topping. Sprinkle with half the peanut and Snickers. Top with one-third of the whipped cream. Repeat with the remaining cake pieces, chocolate cream, topping, peanut and Snickers and half the remaining whipped cream, finishing with cake pieces. Spoon over the remaining whipped cream. Place in the fridge for 1 hour to chill. Serve.
