Spaghetti Bolognese

Ingredients

  • 500g Cook with Curtis Italian Recipe Beef & Pork Mince
  • 690g Coles Italian Tomato Passata
  • 300g Cucina Matese Italian Spaghetti
  • ½ cup (40g) finely grated parmesan
  • 2 tbs finely chopped flat-leaf parsley

Method

  1. Heat a large non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the mince and cook, stirring with a wooden spoon to break up lumps, for 3 mins or until cooked through. Add passata and 1/2 cup (125ml) water. Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 10 mins or until sauce thickens slightly.
  2. Meanwhile, cook the pasta in a large saucepan of boiling water following packet directions or until al dente. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup (125ml) of the cooking liquid.
  3. Add the pasta to the passata mixture in the pan and toss to combine, adding enough reserved cooking liquid to loosen, if needed. Season. Serve with parmesan and parsley.
