Originating in Italy, Broccoli comes from the word Broccolo which means 'flowering crest of a cabbage'. Whilst its traditional to use the florets, the stem of the broccoli is also a great addition to stir fries, it can be sliced and diced just like a carrot! Broccoli is best stored in the refrigerator crisper.
