Home to more than 40 breweries in the late 1800s, the Melbourne suburb of Collingwood was once the epicentre of Australian brewing, and breweries were an integral part of the community. Youll find Stomping Ground Brewing Co a 20-hectolitre brewhouse with a beer hall and garden, inspired by the great beer halls of Europe tucked away on Gipps Street, where founders Steve Jeffares, Guy Greenstone and Justin Joiner have brought independent brewing back home, releasing dozens of different beers each year. This sour beer packed with real passionfruit plus the flavours of Riwaka and Mosaic hops. Bright with fruit aromas, subtly salty and refreshingly tart, it stirred up the senses for a long days tasting ahead.
