These apple doughnuts are a sweet treat everyone will love, whether it’s as a movie night dessert or just afternoon tea.

Apple doughnuts with yoghurt icing

Ingredients

  • 2 Granny Smith apples
  • 2 Pink Lady apples
  • 3/4 cup (210g) strawberry-flavoured yoghurt
  • 3/4 cup (210g) vanilla-flavoured yoghurt
  • 1 green kiwifruit, thinly sliced
  • 1 yellow kiwifruit, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 papaya, seeded, peeled, chopped
  • 1/2 cup (65g) granola or toasted muesli

Method

  1. Step 1

    Use a small serrated knife to cut the Granny Smith and Pink Lady apples into 1cm-thick slices. Use a 2cm round cutter to cut the core from each slice. Spoon strawberry yoghurt and vanilla yoghurt over the apple slices.

  2. Step 2

    Top the apple doughnuts with combined kiwifruit, papaya and granola or muesli and serve immediately.
