This baked camembert recipe is an entertaining essential. The roasted cherry topping makes it perfect for Christmas.

Baked Camembert with Roasted Cherry


  • 150g cherries, pitted
  • 2 tbs cherry jam
  • 1 tbs honey
  • 4 rosemary sprigs
  • 250g whole camembert
  • Olive oil, to drizzle
  • 1/4 cup (25g) walnuts, toasted
  • Sourdough croutons, to serve

  1. Step 1

    Preheat oven to 180°C. Line a roasting pan with baking paper. Arrange cherries in the lined pan. Combine the jam and honey in a small bowl. Drizzle evenly over the cherries. Add the rosemary. Bake, turning occasionally, for 10 mins or until cherries are tender.

  2. Step 2

    Meanwhile, line a baking tray with baking paper. Place the camembert on the lined tray. Use a small sharp knife to score the top of the cheese in a diamond pattern. Drizzle with a little oil and season. Bake for 20 mins or until the camembert is soft when lightly pressed. 

  3. Step 3

    Transfer the camembert to a serving platter. Spoon over the cherry mixture and sprinkle with walnuts. Serve immediately with croutons.
