Treat little ones to a fun lunch for Halloween. You only need a divided tray or lunch box and then you’re ready to load up on fresh ingredients.

Boo bento box with fruity pumpkins, edamame, mummy sandwich and a hard boiled egg

Ingredients

  • 2 mandarins, peeled
  • 1/4 stalk celery, cut into matchsticks
  • 1/2 punnet Perino tomatoes
  • 1 packet frozen edamame
  • 3 cheese slices
  • Writing icing, to decorate
  • 2 blueberries, to decorate
  • Cheese spread
  • 1 slice white bread
  • 1 egg, hard boiled

Method

  1. Step 1

    Make fruity pumpkins by inserting celery into peeled mandarins.
  2. Step 2

    Add some Perino tomatoes to make monster eggs.
  3. Step 3

    Cook edamame in a saucepan of boiling water following packet directions. Peel. Cut discs from cheese slices and decorate with writing icing to make eyes.
  4. Step 4

    To make a friendly mummy sandwich, spread 1 slice of bread with cheese spread. Use an 8cm round cutter to cut into a disc. Cut a cheese slice into strips and arrange over the top of the bread. Decorate with blueberries.
  5. Step 5

    Cut eyes and a mouth from a hard-boiled egg.
