When you have leftover brioche buns, make burger bun French toast! It’s a fun way to use up those extra buns from burger night.

Ingredients

  • 2 Coles Finest By Laurent Traditional Brioche Burger Buns, split
  • 2 Coles Australian Free Range Eggs
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) pouring (pure) cream
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) milk
  • 1 tbs caster sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla bean paste
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 Coles Finest By Laurent Traditional Brioche Burger Buns, split
  • 10g butter
  • Mixed berries, to serve
  • Maple syrup, to serve
  • Butter, extra, to serve

Method

  1. Step 1

    Whisk the eggs, sugar, cream, milk, sugar, vanilla and cinnamon in a medium bowl. Dip the brioche buns into the egg mixture and turn to coat. Set aside for 1-2 mins to soak.

  2. Step 2

    Melt the butter in a large non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Carefully arrange the buns in the pan and cook for 2 mins each side or until golden brown and cooked through.

  3. Step 3

    Divide buns among serving plates. Serve with the berries, maple syrup and extra butter.
