These caramel apple tarts make for the perfect dessert when entertaining. They're sweet, crunchy and easy to make!

Ingredients

  • 12 bought tart shells
  • 1 cup (250ml) Nestlé Caramel Top ’n’ Fill
  • 3 Pink Lady apples
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) lemon juice
  • 1 tsp sea salt flakes

Method

  1. Step 1

    Preheat oven to 200°C.
  2. Step 2

    Place the tart shells on a large baking tray. Bake for 10 mins.
  3. Step 3

    Fill each tart shell with 1 tbsp of the caramel.
  4. Step 4

    To make the apple roses, use an apple corer to core the apples. Halve the apples lengthways, then cut crossways into 1mm-thick slices. Place in a large bowl with the lemon juice. Toss to combine. Set aside for 10 mins or until softened. Place about 14 apple slices, overlapping slightly, on a clean work surface and roll up tightly. Arrange over a tart to form a rose. Repeat with remaining apple slices and tarts. Sprinkle with the salt.

    Bake for 10 mins or until the pastry is golden and apple is tender. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
