Cut each apple crossways into four circles. Remove the seeds.
Cut the pastry into 2cm-wide strips. Wrap 2 pastry strips around an apple piece to form a cross shape. Place on one of the prepared trays. Repeat with remaining pastry strips and apple pieces.
