Ingredients

  • 550g Coles Banana Bread, thickly sliced
  • 50g butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups (375ml) vanilla flavoured milk
  • 5 eggs, lightly whisked
  • 8 fresh dates, pitted, chopped
  • Caramel sauce, to serve

Method

  1. Step 1

    Preheat oven to 180°C. Lightly grease an ovenproof dish. Spread both sides of each slice of banana bread with butter. Arrange in the prepared dish. Whisk the milk and egg in a large jug until combined. Pour over banana bread in the dish. Sprinkle with the dates. Set aside for 10-15 mins to soak.

  2. Step 2

    Place the dish on a baking tray. Bake for 40-45 mins or until pudding is golden and set. Drizzle with caramel sauce to serve.
