Grease and line the base and sides of a 20cm square (base measurement) cake pan with baking paper, allowing the sides to overhang.
Prepare brownie mix following packet directions, using the butter and eggs. Add half the chopped cookie and stir to combine. Spoon into the prepared pan and smooth the surface. Top with remaining cookie, gently pressing into the brownie mixture. Bake at 180°C for 30 mins or until a skewer inserted in the centre comes out clean.
Set aside to cool slightly, then cut into pieces to serve.
