Transport yourself to the Mediterranean with these tasty chicken souvlaki wraps. Filled with rich and refreshing flavours, they’ll make your mouth water.

Chicken soulvaki


  • 1 tbs chopped oregano
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) lemon juice
  • 500g chicken tenderloins
  • 4 Mission Souvlaki Bread
  • 200g tzatziki dip
  • 2 baby cos lettuce, leaves separated
  • 2 roma tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 1 small red onion, very thinly sliced
  • 1 Lebanese cucumber, peeled into ribbons
  • Lemon wedges, to serve

  1. Step 1

    Combine the oregano, garlic, half the oil and half the lemon juice in a glass dish. Add chicken and toss to coat. Season with pepper. Set aside for 10 mins to develop the flavours.
  2. Step 2

    Heat a barbecue grill or chargrill on high. Cook the souvlaki bread for 1 min each side or until lightly charred and heated through. Wrap the souvlaki bread in foil to keep warm.
  3. Step 3

    Cook the chicken on the grill for 3 mins each side or until cooked through. In a small jug, combine the remaining oil and lemon juice.
  4. Step 4

    Spread the souvlaki bread with tzatziki. Top with chicken, lettuce, tomato, onion and cucumber. Drizzle with oil mixture. Season with pepper and serve with lemon wedges.
