How to make chocolate crackles

With essentially no actual cooking involved except for melting the copha and chocolate, this recipe is so easy to make, even the kids can get involved. To begin, place patty cases on a tray and clear out some fridge space. It’s then a matter of combining Rice Bubbles with the wet mixture until everything is completely coated in chocolate. Spoon the mixture into the patty cases, then let the crackles sit in the fridge for around 30 minutes before you dig in! Pack these at a picnic, serve them as an afternoon treat or at birthday parties.

Chocolate crackles without copha

If you don’t have copha or simply don’t want to use it, you can use good-quality chocolate and coconut oil instead. You can also make this recipe gluten free by using gluten free Rice Bubbles or vegan chocolate for a dairy free option. Use this chocolate crackle recipe as the basis for your inventions. Add all your favourite ingredients like crunchy peanut butter, a sprinkling of 100s and 1000s, desiccated coconut or even a dollop of Nutella for an extra hit of chocolate indulgence.
