  • 1 large brown onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 700g jar passata sauce
  • 140g tomato paste
  • 1 tsp dried oregano

  1. Step 1

    Heat the oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic. Cook, stirring, for 5 mins or until onion softens. Add the passata, tomato paste and oregano and bring to a simmer. Season. Cool.

Recipe tip

Divide this batch and keep portions of sauce in containers in the freezer for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge before spreading on your pizzas.
