For a hearty and tasty family meal, give this Corned beef burger a go. The addition of creamy horseradish mayo makes it extra special.

Corned beef burger with horseradish mayo


  • 1kg Coles Australian Beef Corned Silverside
  • 1 tbs black peppercorns
  • 1 brown onion, quartered
  • 3 flat-leaf parsley sprigs
  • 1 carrot, peeled, chopped
  • 2 dried bay leaves
  • 1 tsp whole cloves
  • ¼ cup (75g) mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp horseradish cream
  • 4 butter lettuce leaves
  • 4 Coles Bakery Kaiser Rolls, split, toasted
  • ¼ cup (60g) roasted red pepper strips
  • Green salad leaves, to serve

  1. Step 1

    Place beef in a large heavy-based saucepan. Add peppercorns, onion, parsley, carrot, bay leaves and cloves. Cover with water. Bring to the boil. Reduce heat to low. Cover and cook for 2 hours or until beef is cooked through. Set aside in the cooking liquid to cool. Transfer to a plate. Cut into 1cm-thick slices.
  2. Step 2

    Combine mayonnaise and horseradish cream in a bowl.
  3. Step 3

    Place lettuce on bun bases. Top with capsicum, silverside and horseradish mayonnaise. Serve with green salad.
