  • 2 tbs cornflour
  • 500ml glucose syrup
  • 50ml grape juice
  • Red gel food colouring
  • Blue gel food colouring
  • Yellow gel food colouring

Method

  1. Step 1

    Combine the cornflour with 2 tbs water in a small saucepan. Add the glucose syrup and grape juice. Whisk over low heat. Remove from heat and tint red with a little red food colouring.
  2. Step 2

    Stir in 1 drop blue food colouring and 1 drop yellow food colouring. Continue adding blue and yellow food colouring, stirring after each addition, until the mixture is a deep red-brown in colour. Store in a jar in the fridge for up to 3 weeks.
