Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp lemongrass paste
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 4 Coles Australian Beef Porterhouse Steaks
  • 2 pears, cored, cut into thin wedges
  • 350g pkt Coles Asian Style Salad Kit
  • 2 spring onions, thinly sliced diagonally
  • Steamed jasmine rice, to serve
  • Thinly sliced red chilli, to serve

Method

  1. Step 1

    Combine the soy sauce, lemongrass paste, sugar, garlic and oil in a large bowl. Add the beef and turn to coat. Heat a chargrill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the beef for 3 mins each side or until cooked to your liking. Set aside, covered, for 5 mins to rest. Thinly slice.
  2. Step 2

    Meanwhile, combine the pear, salad mix from the kit, dressing from the kit and half the spring onion in a large bowl.
  3. Step 3

    Divide the salad and rice among serving plates. Top with the beef and sprinkle with the remaining spring onion and chilli, to serve.
