Bega cream cheese tart

Ingredients

  • 250g Arnott’s Choc Ripple biscuits
  • 100g butter, melted
  • 2 x 225g Bega Original Cream Cheese Block, no tempering required
  • 1/4 cup (55g) caster sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 100g dark chocolate, melted

Method

  1. Step 1

    Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C fan-forced). 

  2. Step 2

    Place the biscuits and melted butter in a food processor and blend until the mixture is well combined and clings together when pinched. Spread the mixture in a 35cm x 12cm tart tin and press firmly over the base and sides. Refrigerate until required.

  3. Step 3

    Place the cream cheese and sugar in a food processor and blend until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, blending well between each addition. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and stir the melted chocolate in to one. Dollop spoonfuls of the chocolate mixture randomly into the prepared tart case, then dollop the cream cheese mixture around it. Using the tip of a butter knife gently swirl the two mixtures to create a ripple effect. 

  4. Step 4

    Bake for 20-25 minutes or until just set. Cool and serve.
