When it comes to homemade treats, these Milo cookies tick all the boxes. They're easy to make, quick to cook and sure to be a hit.

Ingredients

  • 150g butter, softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup (165g) brown sugar
  • 1 free-range egg
  • 1 cup (110g) Nestlé Milo powder
  • 1 1/4 cups (185g) plain flour
  • 30 Mars Maltesers

Method

  1. Step 1

    Use an electric mixer to beat the butter, vanilla and sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy. Add the egg and beat until well combined. Use a wooden spoon to stir in the Milo powder and flour until a dough forms. Cover and place dough in the fridge for 30 mins or until firm.

  2. Step 2

    Preheat oven to 180°C. Line 2 large baking trays with baking paper. Use lightly floured hands to roll level tablespoons of dough into balls. Place balls on the lined trays, allowing room for spreading. Flatten slightly.

  3. Step 3

    Bake for 20 mins or until light golden. Remove from oven and immediately press a Malteser into the centre of each cookie. Set aside on the trays to cool completely.
