Ombre cupcakes

Ingredients

  • 450g pkt Betty Crocker Vanilla Cupcake Mix
  • 2 Coles Australian Free Range Eggs
  • 60g butter, melted
  • ½ cup (125ml) milk
  • Pink liquid food colouring

Method

  1. Step 1

    Make the cupcakes using the cupcake mix from the packet with the eggs, butter and milk following packet directions. Set aside to cool completely.
  2. Step 2

    Place the icing from the packet in a bowl. Fit 4 piping bags with 1 plain nozzle and 3 types of fluted nozzle. Spoon a little icing into each bag.
  3. Step 3

    Pipe icing onto some of the cupcakes until the bags are empty. Tint the remaining icing with a little food colouring and spoon a little icing into each bag. Continue piping icing over the cupcakes, tinting the remaining icing and topping up the bags as needed, until the cupcakes are covered.
